Elf
Tall, noble, and often haughty, elves are long-lived and subtle masters of the wilderness. Elves excel in the arcane arts. Often they use their intrinsic link to nature to forge new spells and create wondrous items that, like their creators, seem nearly impervious to the ravages of time. A private and often introverted race, elves can give the impression they are indifferent to the plights of others.
Known most prominently for their pointed ears and living in the woods. Many of their number partake in the subjugation of the 'lesser' races (goblinoids, orcs, etc), and observe a tenuous alliance with the dwarves bordering their homelands of Belanore, as the latter prepares and forges the chains and shackles in exchange for the more exotic materials native to the Wever coastline.

Subraces
Umber Elf: Spread across western Ukrenil in pockets, copses, and groves between Ferheart and Rimeshriek, these blue-gray elves live in harmony with the wilds, worshipping the moon- whether done so through Ituleos, or some other lunar deity- and the forces of nature in roughly equal measure. Built upon a theocratic matriarchy, their women are powerful, capable warriors, while the males tend to the gardens and bolster the protective forces of their sacred groves through supportive, and sometimes even mystical means.
Arctic Elf: Noted by their short fur- grown on all but their nose, lips, and inner ears- the notch of their ears, and their pale colors, the arctic elves of the Weeping Tundra stand rather stark against their compatriots for their slightly shorter average height, and propensity for thicker outerwear.
