Wulag
Wulag is a region of Murkys. Wulag is a region where decay reigns supreme, a vile swamp of acid, excrement, and pestilence. Known as the Stomach of Filth, the land churns with toxic pools and bubbling mire, where the air is thick with the stench of rot. Wulag is a cursed land, a final resting place for the world’s most abominable things—failed experiments, discarded relics, and accursed beings that cannot be destroyed by mortal hands. The curse that gripped Murkys twisted Wulag into its most repugnant form, making it a living cesspool that devours all who dare to tread upon it.
The curse amplified the natural toxicity of Wulag, transforming its swamps into a living entity of rot and bile. The land itself has become semi-sentient, responding to intrusions with eruptions of acidic sludge and swarms of flesh-eating insects. Even the plants are cursed, growing in grotesque shapes with dripping, venomous sap and tendrils that ensnare the unwary. The few creatures that inhabit Wulag are either horrifying mutations or undead monstrosities, their forms warped by the region’s filth. Blightspawn, grotesque beings born from the swamp’s fetid depths, roam the land, spreading corruption wherever they go. Some say the swamp is alive because it is digesting something immense, a cursed artifact or being buried deep beneath its muck.
It is also the home of the Shrine of Foul Fealty, one of the few places where worship of the Travesty of Consumption, Gutrot is welcomed.
Geography
Outside of Cindralis, Wulag is a morass of bile and rot, its swamps churning with acidic pools and fields of decaying matter. The land seems to hunger, dragging anything that lingers too long into its depths. Ancient ruins and relics of forgotten civilizations can occasionally be found within the swamp, but retrieving them is fraught with danger. The swamp is dotted with pools of acid that emit toxic fumes that can dissolve flesh and bone within seconds, while violent storms of ash and poisonous rain sweep across the region, scouring everything in their path.
