Fel Reek

Fel Reek is a city found in the Sixis region of Murkys. Fel Reek was a grim city even in its prime, used as a quarantine zone for the sick and dying of the Nameless Kingdom. It was built around a massive pit where diseased bodies were burned to prevent the spread of plagues. The city was a place of suffering and death, with its people ostracized by the rest of the kingdom. Despite their misery, the people of Fel Reek took pride in their role, believing they were protecting the realm by containing its worst diseases.
When the curse struck, Fel Reek’s population became Ghouls, ravenous undead cursed with an eternal hunger for flesh. The Black Pit at the city’s center began spewing toxic fumes that spread disease and decay across the surrounding lands. The ghouls are highly infectious; their bites can spread the curse to the living, turning them into mindless, plague-ridden creatures. Fel Reek is now surrounded by The Miasma Field, a cloud of noxious gas that makes it nearly impossible for the living to approach. The ghouls have turned the pit into a grotesque hive, and they raid nearby settlements to feed their unending hunger. The bones of these victims are left in piles around the city, forming The Gardens of Osteos.
