Deadrift

Deadrift is a city found in the Sixis region of Murkys. Deadrift was the trade hub of the Nameless Kingdom, built on a sprawling delta where the rivers of Sixis met the ocean. It was a city of wealth and excess, known for its vast merchant fleets and decadent feasts. However, the people of Deadrift were infamous for their greed, hoarding food and resources while the rest of Sixis suffered through plagues and famine.   Deadrift is now known as the Walking Grave, its undead citizens cursed with perpetual decay. Unlike typical zombies, the people of Deadrift are fully conscious, aware of their slow decomposition. They are in constant agony, as their flesh rots but never fully falls away. The streets are filled with the stench of death, and the undead residents struggle to keep their bodies intact, often scavenging fresh corpses for replacement parts in strange marketplaces such as The Corpus Bazaar. Despite their condition, Deadrift retains a semblance of its old culture. The undead continue to trade, their currency now consisting of rare bones, preserved flesh, and magical artifacts. The docks, known as The Rotdocks, are still active, with zombie sailors piloting creaking ships across the waters, spreading both trade and the curse. It is one of the main hubs for Murkan Humans.
