Dammon
Dammon is a city found in the Sixis region of Murkys. Dammon was the spiritual heart of the Nameless Kingdom, a city of massive temples and shrines to long-forgotten gods. The people of Dammon were devoted ascetics, known for their songs of prayer that echoed for miles across the land and their many Monk monasteries. They believed their devotion would grant them divine favor and protection, while the priests of Dammon secretly sought to channel divine power to make themselves immortal, thinking their devotion gave them the right to ascend to godhood.
The prayers of Dammon never reached their gods. When the curse fell, the priests and worshippers alike were condemned to exist as wailing ghosts, their voices no longer a symbol of hope but of endless agony. Now known as The Wailing City, Dammon is a place of ceaseless lamentation, where spectral figures wander aimlessly, unable to find peace. These ghosts are bound to the locations where they died; temples, homes, and public squares, reliving their final moments in endless loops. Occasionally, the spirits of Dammon break free and travel across the land, their sorrowful wails capable of driving the living to madness as Banshees.
Once proud structures, such as their temples and markets, have known been reduced to undead-infested dungeons, such as The Spiral Chorus and The Ghost Markets.
