Dravenhall

Dravenhall is a city found in the Kalan region of Murkys. Dravenhall was once a beacon of artistic and spiritual excellence, its music said to bridge the gap between the mortal world and the divine. The city was built atop a hill surrounded by the Dirgewood, with towering spires carved from pale stone and adorned with intricate carvings of Kalan’s history. At its peak, The Grand Chorus, a group of the most skilled Bards in the land, performed nightly ceremonies to honor the dead and guide spirits to the afterlife.   Dravenhall is now a city of sorrow and discord, a silent graveyard where the only sounds are the faint echoes of the past. The Grand Chorus attempted to banish the curse with their music, but their final performance in the The Shattered Ampitheatre of Dravenhall unleashed a terrible backlash. The curse twisted their voices into haunting melodies that now drift endlessly through the city. Known as The Choir of Regret, these ghostly voices lure the unwary into the mists, where their souls are consumed. The surviving citizens of Dravenhall live in the shadow of their ancestors’ failures, trapped within the city’s partially ruined walls. These Murkan Humans sing of their own past, often speaking to unseen figures or repeating old songs as though trapped in a dream. These spirits seemingly attempt to point adventurers towards The Veiled Depository in an attempt to find the lost song that is said to be able to free the city from its curse.
