articles -presentation children organization display ui article-blocks

Give us an option to hide the children articles below a parent articles at the end of the parent article

Cuirrently, whenever you add articles not to a category but to an article, these children articles have all their article blocks displayed at the bottom of the parent article.   There is no way to hide them other then css shenanigans, which is not always desired.   The is a way to hide their display in the table of contents.   This may not even be intended as this reddit discussion with DImitris' answer suggests - unfortunately we never found the feature Dimitris' claimed to even exist.

Before you ask

Linking the articles is neat, why is this a problem?

Yes, it is neat - but gets exc essive after a few articles - because article blocks are BIG. Also, there is no way of ordering or filtering them so that makles them clunky fast.

Why do you not use categories?

Because some articles are not part of a larger group but are more of "extra information" to another article (tzhink "contents of a spellbook" with the specific spells under it for example)

Where would you need this?

I personally tend to build overview articles where I make heavy use of taglists to give a sorted (and categorized) view on the

The Team's Response

Accepted even though with very low support. No extras certainly no more global clickity clacks and switchy witches.

More specifically being able to set that a specific child article should appear or not as an article block in its parent article would be great. I like article blocks but sometimes it gets too crowded and I have to consider making a sort of subparent just to keep things tidy.

Yes please. And I agree with Graylion's proposal of a global and per-article toggle.

Thank you Verti! I asked the question on Reddit, and I'm happy you made it into a suggestion, especially since it seems other people want this option as well!

Maybe also add the option to display them with this: https://www.worldanvil.com/community/voting/suggestion/2be9e86f-5fcb-4e28-9049-39a3fe420b1e/view

This would be pretty cool from an organization standpoint. Sometimes I want to make articles under an article because that's where it makes sense when I've done an overview, but I'd rather be able to direct the order of viewing than have all of them available at once.

Please. Better yet, 3 options: No article blocks, article blocks hidden behind a spoiler, or all article blocks.
