WorldEmberPrep Week 4 Homework & My UnofficialMapVember Entries!
I finally finished The Week 4 Homework Assignment for #WorldEmberPrep and my two entries for #UnofficialMapVember!
To summarize, I will be setting up basecamp in the breakroom at work before my shifts. To be safe, I'll be leaving for work an hour early to deal with any winter weather that I might encounter. Most days I should be early enough to get some writing done before my shift. The plan is to use distraction-free pen and paper for the outline. Saturdays will be my typing day when I'll post everything that I've written during the week.
I've shared two Metro-Style Maps showing a very high-level overview for the main characters during the five acts of the novel. Both maps are hidden behind spoiler tags for obvious reasons.

The final homework is upon us, and I've updated my article for it!
December is looking to be quite wild for me from the outset, but that's the price of working retail! At a toy store no less! Wish me luck that I'll have enough time and energy between work, holiday shopping, and whatever else may arise.

WorldEmberPrep Week 3 Homework
Today's my only day off work this week and I won't have much free time until next Saturday. I'm glad that this week's #WorldEmberPrep Homework was a little light.
The Drow Agenda now has a Landing Site for my players. They have easy access to the most important information that they need to keep themselves on track during our long 20-level campaign. We've got sections for The Player Characters, The Antagonists, Friends & Allies, Major Quests, and Personal Quests. I'll be adding article blocks for House Rules and Important Magical Items soon.
The home page for The Dragonstar Sagas was in desperate need of an overhaul. Now when potential readers arrive, the introductory paragraphs explain that this is a setting with parallel worlds - a high-tech futuristic setting and a high-magic fantasy world. The header image was recently updated to show Kaesta sitting at the computer building her fantasy world for some healthy escapism. I've moved the image of The Great Valley to the background, so that both fantasy and sci-fi meet visually on the home page. We're missing a few of our dramatis personae, but they're coming soon.
I'm not sure what information a potential reader or professional editor would want to see on the front page to get them hooked on The Dragonstar Sagas. Critical Feedback is Welcome! <3

Early WorldEmber homework!
WorldEmber is almost heeeere!! I can feel it! November marks the start of the official WorldEmber Prep Month in World Anvil and I'm much too excited to wait until Friday for our homework this year.
Thankfully many of my friends are feeling the same too, which sparked Stormbril to come up with an early homework idea!
Gauntlet: this full blown card game was so much fun and I think my enthusiasm really shines through in this article with the extra details to the presentation of it
Corvidans: I'm particularly fond of this article for the time I spent illustrating this species
Rréraliázi: I really enjoyed nerding out on numbers in this language article and making a bizarre counting gif was super fun!
The Common Calendar: I'm also really proud of this calendar because of the effort I put into its design
Reflecting back on these in comparison to other articles I created during previous events, the ones that I put more love into were the ones I enjoyed the most (and that other people enjoyed, too)!

JOY is an optimistic leaning, neutral-bright fantasy world with derpy magical creatures, floaty islands, mouth-watering food, and adventure-filled vistas full of overgrown ruins - all presented in the format of journal pages with a quirky combination of loose sketches and colourful pixel art.
I'm just setting things up at the moment, but you're welcome to come and take a look! I'll be sharing my proper WorldEmber homework there shortly, and you can take a sneak peek at my Spooktober stubs that I snuck in last minute! :D

Go back through your previous events (WorldEmber or otherwise!) and pick out the articles you were most happy to create or most happy with in the end, and try to figure out why! Is it just because of the end result, or is it because of how it ties into the rest of your world? Make a list of them and share them with your followers or via a journal post, and then think about how you might recapture that feeling this year :D
