“We need to find a place to stop,” Iris said. “The skies might be filled with aircraft, and shuttles for now, but once the chaos ends…”

Nena nodded.

“Garth’s Pool?” Hyrum asked from the front of the craft. “It’s close, and there is over a million people to lose ourselves in.”

Nena shook her head. “It’s too close, I would be surprised if the Commonwealth doesn’t already have forces stationed there.”

“They can’t be looking fr us. Can’t think we survived that even if they thought we were already alive,” Hyrum countered.

“No,” Nena said more firmly. “Anshill,” she finally said. “It’s just as large as Garth’s Pool, but further away, and out of the way. I also have contacts there, friends we can trust.”

“Anshill?” Hyrum asked. “Thats still over…”

“Yes, but it’s a better risk than getting trapped in Garth’s Pool.” Nena said and let out a sigh. “I doubt any of the ships spotted us from orbit, not with us this low, and in this much brush. We should take advantage of the chaos, and get as far as we can, and find friends and allies.”

“Friends and allies,” Hyrum puffed.

“This is my home Hyrum. Trust me. Anshill is the correct move.”

Hyrum grunted again, but gave a nod.

“Iris keep us in cover as long as possible, and let me know why comm systems come up. Yu know the old north western complex?” Nena asked.

Iris didn’t look at Nena but nodded. “The old tunnels? They’re a fucking maze down there, worse than Stonehill.”

“Yeah, get us there. I have knowledge of them, and if we get get out of the range of scrambler I might be able to contact my uncle, if anyone can help it’s him.”

“Your uncle?” Harald asked, and almost felt ashame for not knowing who her uncle was.

Nena looked back at Harald, as though she just realized he were there, but gave him a somewhat unsure smile, but nodded. “Lord Woodsmith. He served with your mother, father, and uncle, King Harwyn before you were born. He’s a good man, and taught me everything I know,” she told him. “And above all, he is loyal. He loved your father for all he did for Isca.”

“Commonwealth has to have them being watched,” Hyrum countered. “Anyone who had family in Stonehill is likely to be watched.”

Nena nodded. “Maybe, but I have ways of contacting him without being noticed. The Woodsmiths have lived on Isca as long as any family, and we are still here. We survived the Fabians, and Old Blood. We know how to hide.”

Hyrum grunted again, but nodded.

“No one knows Isca better than my uncle and the other local lords. We need to make contact with them, and they will do the rest.” Neda reassured them.

“Lord Woodsmith is among those my father informed me that we should seek out for aid, and protection. He has a very high loyalty rating,” Echo said calmly from the hatch he stood next to.
