Harald
The great hall was filled with guests. Many of them Harald had no idea who they were. The children of lords throughout Isca trying to get in his father’s good graces no doubt.
Still Harald enjoyed it. The singing and chaos of the room. It was filled with gifts brought from the many guests. Quincey had made several of Harald’s favorite desserts.
Harald enjoyed his birthday as much as any kid. The one day when he was in charge and lord.
Harald sat in his mock throne and accepted gifts from all. Most were simple objects. Some hand made and other personal. In truth there was nothing he needed, but it was their custom. He welcomed them and wished them well and to feast and dine with them.
Adults and children alike greeted Harald, and he welcomed them in turn. The Great Hall was filled with as many locals as nobles as kids shouted and ran through the hall at the different game stations setup.
Harald had already got to try most of them when he was caught helping them set them up. He had lasted more than ten minutes before he was noticed and kicked out of the hall. He had laughed joyfully as his watchers and handlers finally found him.
