Elinor

The Osgar System flashed into life for Elinor, and the ‘Skreap’. The system had little more than five billion, and it was the second largest system in the Furia System after the Rustberry System.

The command deck was alive as the crew regained their sensors. Elinor could see the starships of Task Force Alpha in formation with the ‘Skreap’. Crown Prince Osmund had refused to enter the system alone. Even with the rest of the task force, they were outnumbered by the system fleet, but the ‘Skreap’ was the largest ship in system, as it was in almost any system.

Elinor could track several starships as they went about the system. Ships entering, and leaving the system. Inner system ships making run for the Red Gate asteroid field, or Point Mining Station. She began to pick up small shuttles traveling to and from the surface of the world of Osgar’s Hall, it’s moon of Bell, and the starships above them. It was in effect, like any other system that they jumped into the outer edges of, although they can jumped in as close to the world as safety measures would allow.

Crown Prince Osmund brought the ‘Skreap’ into orbit of the world of Osgar’s Hall as he exchanged comm messages from the System-lord Madlyn Sternjaw. At least on the surface the messages seemed pleasant, despite the time lag as the ‘Skreap’ came closer, and closer.

Elinor wasn’t sure what she had expected, but the System-lord had welcomed the Crown Prince, and even invited him to join her at her estate for a feast in his honor. It had surprised her. There had been nothing to claim that the System-lord was involved in the crimes of the Bishop of her world, but she, and her family were of Furse stock, her ancestors had taken the world, and system during the time of the Great Savage Host, and Elinor had expect her to be more hostile to the Crown Prince.

Osgar’s Hall wasn’t part of the alliance within the Commonwealth of Drala known as the Eight Systems, eight Furse Star Systems united within the paraliment of the Commonwealth, and often at odds with the king. Osgar’s Hall had voted, and sided with the Eight Systems enough though, and although it had once been one of the first Old Blood major systems in Drala, it had been in the hands of the Furse for too long to be claimed to be anything but Furse, at least as far as Elinor knew.

“Ensign Grimmhart,” Crown Prince Osmund Gisking called out. “With me,” he said as he made his way off the Command Deck with his personal guard, and members of his staff he had hand picked to partake in the arrest of the Bishop.

Elinor stood in quick confused shock. “Yes ser,” she said, and fell in with Lt Vault, who just nodded at her.

The shuttle ride to Osgar’s Hall was quick as the landed at the main estate of the System-lord

The Crown Prince met the System-lord, and handed her a datapad. She looked at the crown prince, who nodded.

“Bishop…” The system-lord began, but was cut off by the crown prince.

“Yes, we are here for his arrest,” Osmund replied.

The system-lord nodded, and waved a hand to a member of her staff. “Gather our forces, provide the Crown Prince with whatever he needs.” She looked back to the Crown Prince. “Shall I summon him?”

“No,” Osmund replied. “I believe we should visit him in his temple.”
