The Gods work together, shaping the matter of the universe and create Xaedia.
From the dawn of creation to the present day, Xaedia's entire written history can be found here.
Before there was light, there was darkness; empty, eternal, vacuous dark space. The nothingness stretched and stretched to the edges of existence and then there was something. This something began to split, and swirl and divide and soon there were somethings and these somethings became the Gods. Alone except for each other these being existed for millennia, watching the universe form around them, things being created from nothing as matter formed and unformed and the planes began to take shape around them. The Gods watched and realised that they could move freely between these planes, travelling unfathomable stretches of time and space as if it were nothing. The light of the above brought forth celestial matter to the upper planes and the dark of the below brought demonic matter to the lower planes. Curiosity, a new emotion for the previously apathetic Gods, began to worm its way into their consciousness, perhaps brought forth from the elemental chaos raging within existence at the time. But they continued to watch, matter and form and things being created all around them out of nothingness, the first of the Gods, or the last- they did not know raised a hand (had he always possessed one?) and the matter around him swirled at his command. The others followed and watched as they could control and shape these chaotic things, creating and destroying and moulding and shaping and suddenly, Xaedia had formed.
The Gods work together, shaping the matter of the universe and create Xaedia.
The Gods filled the lands of Xaedia with beasts but, not content with only these beings, they once again work together and create the first intelligent race: the Yvrae.
The planar magic of the Elemental Chaos soon began to bleed into Xaedia, the Gods saw this as a way to expand and evolve the world they had made but knew that too much would destroy their fragile creation. They created the elemental Nexi, one at each pole, allowing the elemental magic to flow into Xaedia but contained in a way that stopped overwhelming elemental chaos. With this bleeding effect, the seasons began to shape Xaedia, summer brought warmth and growth, winter, biting cold and frigidity, spring fought back the cold and brought new life and autumn cooled the summer heat making way for winter.
Inspired by the new seasons and the elemental effects that this magic has had on Xaedia, the Gods create a new race, the Tempus.
The Gods, not content with only two races upon Xaedia continue to create new life forms. Humans and Elves, Dwarves and Orcs as well as Halflings and Gnomes.
Tieflings from the lower planes find their way to Xaedia, the God's are intrigued by these life forms not created by their own hands and allow them to stay. The Tieflings then settle on Xaedia.
As Xaedia flourished, the Gods found that much like their creations they favoured certain aspects of existence more than others and so each God found their domain and their names.
As the Gods found their domains, they also found that their creations sought more pursuits than they deemed sensible to handle. As a result over the coming decades some of the Primus created their own sub-domains to be overseen by their own creations, the Luminare. 7 Luminare were created for this purpose and the Pantheon of Xaedia grew.
A stone giant fell in love with an orc- their resulting child became the first Goliath on Xaedia.
The Gods leave Xaedia’s skies and watch their creation from afar, only interfering when necessary. They bestow magic to the world as their gift to help the races defend against the creatures of Xaedia that deemed to harm them.
Xaedia's first city is founded on the Eastern Vothandyr mountain range, the city is named Archeaum
Temples to each of the Primus Deities are constructed along the base of the Corrundem Mountains, flanking Archeaum.
Marayaq is founded on Sa'htenbraath in what will become Iotho, this is the first city outside of Vothandyr.

A settlement in North-Western Kruenfeld is established and founded under a tyrannical king.
A cataclysmic event in the Elemental Chaos causes a mass surge of elemental energy to burst through the Nexi, the surrounding areas are flooded with energy, corrupting the landscape and its inhabitants. As a result the first dragons are created from lizards and those unfortunate enough to be caught near this surge are transformed into the Dragonborn.
Not all the dragons created by the Elemental Bleed are kind, a red dragon by the name of Drenvais settles at the fire Nexi. He terrorises the people that had settled there for three generations, ruling over them with an iron and tyrannical fist.
After witnessing the corruption of creatures through elemental magic, Nequital began to experiment on lizards and snakes.
Those settled at the Fire Nexi grow tired of Drenvais' rule, a young man by the name of Cadmus, trained for years and rallied his people against the dragon, overthrowing him. Cadmus slayed the beast with the help of Terranos who chose Cadmus as his Divine Champion. Cadmus was named The Dragon Slayer for his victory and the people of the Fire Nexi were freed from their subjugation.
The people of the Fire Nexi, after suffering for years at the claws of Drenvais vow to never let anything like that happen again. The people thus vow to protect each of the Nexi, splitting the tribe into 4 and settling at each of the Nexi creating the Vaal tribes.
A group of Dwarves from Vothandyr travel to Kruenfeld and establish a settlement in The Frigid Spines mountain range.

The magocracy of Zöttenrau launches an attack on the civilisations of what will become Miranheim. The rulers of the West, fearing for their own people, band together and aid in the fight against the East.
Seeing the opportunity for power the people of Schalenmere come to Zöttenrau's aid, involving Kruenfeld in the conflict. The Dwarves of The Frigid Tips attack Schalenmere in retaliation. The other civilisations of Kruenfeld also come to the aid of Western Vothandyr but the damage has been done- Xaedia is at war.
The first, and most catastrophic war in Xaedian history tears apart the world as each realm battles for control.

Irux anoints Ramona, Caelora chooses Evander while the Fallen also anoint their own heroes. Malox chooses Keres and Halios anoints Torian.
In the final days of the war a great battle took place, one that was eventually stopped by the Gods themselves, but not before many lives were lost. Evander and Keres faced off against each other, Caelora and Malox both watching with rapt attention. For a moment it seemed as if Keres would win, her hulking form towering over the wounded Evander but she would not be beaten so easily. As Keres delivered the killing blow, so did Evander, striking the Fallen Champion with lightning where she stood, the electricity flooding down through her armour, into her sword and into Evander’s own body-killing them both.
Empowered by the conflict, and with the help of their chosen, Halios breaks free of their prison in the Demi-plane. Fearing their growing power the Gods know they must intervene, once again banding together to halt the conflict on Xaedia.
The Gods see where the blame lies and strike down the mages of Zöttenrau, and those in power from Schalenmere who had aided. The mere foot-soliders are banished back to their home and left without leaders. Those in Zöttenrau, however, bare the brunt of the Gods’ rage and the civilisation is all but wiped out, left to start anew.
The Gods return Halios to their prison, though the power they had gained remains and it takes all the Gods' power and strength to re-imprison them.

Caelora, horrified, stops their argument before it can destroy anything more, in apology Somnovus and Luxathin work together to create Astrumina the final of the Luminare and a Goddess to watch over the celestial bodies of Xaedia in Caelora's stead. Astrumina then created the 3 moons that hang in the sky above Xaedia today, one for each of her reasons for creation Caelora, Somnovus and Luxathin.
The most devout followers of the Fallen cult, begun by Halios begin a pilgrimage across Xaedia to Vothandyr.
A devout follower of Astrumina becomes convinced he should receive higher powers than what has been given to him. He attempts a ritual to contact Astrumina and ascend to this higher power, sacrificing both humans and animals in the process and corrupting the land around him under the light of the full moon. Astrumina sees this and smites him, cursing him to liken himself to those animals he sacrificed and have his life forever dictated by the power of the moon- he is cursed with lycanthropy. In his rage he travels home and infects all those within his village; the forest of what will become Miranheim is infested with Were-Creatures for generations to come.

With the implementation of the Xaedian calendar, a new unit of measuring time is proposed by the Erudition Archives, PE for all events occurring Post Establishment, all events prior are known by the measurement of AC, After Creation. Urimin Teaspell charts all the islands they can find within their lifetime, charting the first comprehensive map of the Xaedian realms. They then donate this map to the Erudition Archives so that copies can be made and circulated.
Inspired by Urimin Teaspell, sailors from Raashen set out to explore the mysterious dark islands to the South. Upon reaching the border seas an almighty storm forces them to turn back.
