Schalenmere (shay-len-meer)
Schalenmere, unlike other realms of Xaedia does not have one consistent and overarching culture. The realm also unlike others functions under a tribal system in which the territories are split between 6 clans. Almost every citizen belongs to one of these clans, as it is seen as a great disgrace and shame for an individual to be without a tribe. Each clan governs and rules itself within its territory, the leaders of which are Chieftains, chosen either through election, divine anointment or simply through combat. These leaders meet once each year at the Summer solstice to discuss the year, events, grievances and other matters that have arisen over the preceding year. One thing that is common between each of the 6 clans is a heavy prevalence afforded to physical strength. Warriors are the most admired and respected among the clans due to the nature of life in Schalenmere, however, that is not to say that other clan members are not valued also. It is well known by Schalenmere citizens that working together is far more successful than surviving alone, each clansman is valued for their separate skills and roles, without a collaborative team, a clan would not function.

Dominant populace of Orcs and Dragonborn, Schalenmere is also home to a large number of Humans, Tiefling and Dwarves as well as a small number of Goliaths
Religion:
No overarching worship patterns as each clan has its own separate culture and religious practices but worship of all deities is welcomed
Technology:
One of the most primitive realms, Schalenmere is home to very little technology and its citizens often actively shun magic/tech combinations in favour of traditional magic and weaponry resulting in a focus on divine and Druidic magics
Military:
There is no active military for the entire realm as each clan functions and governs separately, though should the need arise, clans can call upon others to aid them in the event of war
Climate:
The second coldest of the Kruenfeld realms, winters are longer and harsher here but the summers are still relatively warm. The realm is also highly prone to rain
