The March of 31 Tales
Introduction
Hi. I'm Demongrey, and I write an article every day. I started this about a year and a half ago, when I needed something to help me cope with the rest of my life; I have found that daily writing is really beneficial to my mental health and happiness. Over the last year, I have heard from people that they found my persistence in writing inspirational. This was a surprise to me, but after it came up in several of the Inspo-August (like this one from Mochimanoban and this one from Tyrdal) I got to thinking that it might be a useful exercise to challenge people to try it out for themselves. And here we are.
The Challenge
The March of 31 Tales is a fairly straightforward challenge. During the month of March, write a different article every day. The articles aren't judged, and you aren't competing with anyone other than yourself. I suggest setting a minimum word count you are aiming for (I shoot for at least 325 words), but that's not a requirement - you write as much or as little as it takes to handle your subject. I will advise that you don't go overboard with the wordcount; this challenge is a marathon, not a sprint. Tortoises are more likely to finish than hares.
Once you've written your article, publish it and tell someone about it. One thing that I found really helpful in keeping on track was feeling accountable to people for my article of the day, and I don't know that I would have managed to keep up my streak without the support of my chapter, Articles Anonymous, and the wonderful people of the Storyteller's Circle. In the interest of giving everyone a place to post and get support from anyone who is trying the challenge or following along, I've created a discussion board for it that is linked from this page; feel free to post your articles there.
The Reward
The primary reward is knowing that you did it. But that's not the only thing - there will be badges as well. The wonderful and talented Myth-X has offered to make a participation badge, and for those who complete the challenge, there will be a winner's badge created by the incomparable Jontaro.
Conclusion
Writing an article a day has been really beneficial to me. I have had a lot of fun doing it, and I've noticed my writing improve from all the practice. I hope that you will also find it fun and useful, and that you will give it a try this March. Good luck, and happy worldbuilding!
Wrapping Up on April 1st
Wow, it has been a fantastic month and a wonderful challenge! I am so happy for everyone that participated and that so many of you reached your writing goals! Some people created hubs for their articles, and you can check them out below; I also encourage you to look through the discussion boards to see some of the fantastic work not collected in the challenge hubs.
I'm already planning a repeat of this challenge for next year, so if you didn't get to participate in 2025 you will get another opportunity in 2026! Happy writing!

I'm definitely going to *attempt* this! <3 My minimum word count will be 300 words, which is easily achievable for me in a single article. :D
Excellent! 300 words is a very achievable goal, and I bet you will exceed it more often than you expect.
