Earth is the cradle of the human race. Mankind has since seeded civilizations on dozens of worlds. Earth has reached a near idyllic perfection during the last 5 centuries. Though it has been shaped a lot by what happened in the centuries before.
Ancient Histories
Earth had a very dark period in it's past, but, like most dark periods several great things came from. During the late 21st to 22nd centuries, climate change caused such extremes that water levels rose 3 metres, and a lot of farm land became too dry to grow crops. The scarce resources lead to a lot of regional wars. Many countries that used to trade resources, such as crops, to other countries were barely able to sustain themselves. Through all the difficulties, some countries, and larger corporations striving to ensure that humans survived the global crisis and wars sent out ships to start new colonies in other systems. A visitor to Earth today finds a thriving world trading largely on its history and undeniable claim to being humanity’s “most perfect” world. Humans flock there for tourism and research. Earth still holds claim to “the sun” and “the moon,” the seas and shores from which intrepid human explorers once set out in tiny vessels to travel into the great beyond.
