Sol
Sol is a G2V with a yellow, main sequence star. It is host to an 8-planet system. One of these planets is Earth, the birthplace of humanity.
Before spreading out into the universe, humans began by colonizing, mining, and otherwise spreading out through the system. Terra-forming technology was not good enough to transform any planets. Mars was the most likely candidate but refused to bend to the will of humans. In the end, Mars Colony ended up being a series of domed cities connected by a hyperloop train system that goes through sealed tubes.
