Malpighien Steppes
Frigid in the winter and sweltering in the summer, only the Zennonaize would consider these windswept grasslands a suitable home. While the tall grasses and sparse stands of short, thorny trees may have once dominated these grasslands, today they are mostly cut up into the huge estates of the Confederacy, home to vast herds of cattle and horses and the fields upon fields of wheat that support them. The wolves and lions that once ranges these plains have long disappeared, but the wind that haunts them - icy in a winter blizzard and wet when a harbinger of a summer thunderstorm, remains.
