Naar's Point
Who was Naar? Why did this peninsula that sticks out into the Darsiac Ocean in the southwest corner of the Malpighien Steppes bear his name? As far as anyone can remember, its been called Naar's point for years. Old nautical maps from the earliest days of Gartcha and Yaty give the point the name, often highlighting the wildly variable sea floor depths that surround it. Fortunately, there isn't much of value around the point. Given the shoals the charts are notoriously inaccurate and at least three ships trying to improve them were sunk after running aground.
