Duke of Wargun
No one has accused the Duke of Wargun of cutting an imposing figure for decades. With a spine left crooked after a being throne from a horse in his late teens, this third son was never expected to see twenty winters let along to rule the Darin Clan for over half a century. Honest misfortune, however, claimed the lives of both his elder brothers - one lost in a early blizzard while hunting in the Tallwood and another to a summer squall when his fishing boat sank in the Wartin Gulf, leaving Jothel the family patriarch before he attained a quarter century.
Since that time he has tripled the clan's reputed wealth while by keeping one eye (many claim it is his green one) on the fisheries and his other (a more traditionally Zennonaize brown) on steadily increasing the size of his herds - both of cattle and horse. His success has not, like so many Zennonaize nobles before him, come at the expense of commoners. Instead, his programs have put any "willing hands" to work, rebuilding many of Wargun's crumbling buildings - excluding the Burnt Quarter of course. This increased prosperity has even flowed into the coffers of other regional nobles who have generally become his most ardent supports, much to the dismay of Dono Torin Delante.
