Arm of the Gods
Far to the east of Tarien, hooking out from the Darien Plain, the Arm of the Gods holds some of the continents highest mountains and deepest mysteries. Virtually inaccessible given its remote location, tucked between the Heavenly Sea and the Sea of Dreams, it is narrow from east to west but hundreds of leagues in length from north to south. Along this length towering peaks climb from beaches, through steep wooded hillsides, and then finally into jagged peaks that often as not vanish into a blanket of clouds.
Rumors of the arms strange inhabitants, from feathered serpents that speak in riddles to sandaled giants that fling lightning, fill the tales of tavern entertainers at many ports. But the truth is that as few have set foot on its shores and fewer still have returned, no one knows what lurks in its mountains.
