Carbothian Mountains
Steep and tall, though not towering like many of the mountains in northern Tarien, these mountains are tall and wide enough to knock down most storms as they cross, depriving the Carboth Desert of rain. An older range full of striped canyons, mountains goats, wild dogs and the local Dharja know many twisted passages that allow them to navigate through the labyrinths of cliffs with minimal climbing. Many an explorer, however, unfamiliar with the terrain, has found himself hopeless lost, only to feed the vultures.
