A River Winds through the Balaan Mountains
Rising from the Denton Plains at a right angle to their kindred spirits, the Carbothian Mountains, this range runs from the southwest to the northeast, breaking up the skyline with rough, sepia and charcoal rocks. In truth, the Balaan are more of a long ridge, steep sided at their base, topped with fields of boulders, almost as if someone had pinched the land upward. Home to strange, miniature pony's, long legged foxes, and rodents of all sizes, these highlands are a remote and seldom visited corner of Tarien.
