Shar'iish'sta's Shrine

Deep within the Jungles of Thallox, its location a secret to all but those who have devoted their lives to the oldest of Tarien's deities, is stand of ancient kapuk trees that seem to have grown in a perfect circle, nearly a quarter of a mile across. One can't see the grove from the ground - it is too large and the jungle has permeated it. It's the terraced ground is filled with ferns and orchids in seemingly perfect irregularity as they find rare shafts of sunlight toward the center of the circle. A strangely deep and narrow stream winds through the clearing northwest to southeast, with a twenty foot waterfall leading to a thirty foot pool, roughly in the grove's center. The pool, surrounded by large rocks that appear haphazard at first but upon closer inspection seem to make up a small amphitheater around the waterfall, is covered with lily pads, constantly in bloom with delicate white flowers.

It is around this pool where the Order of Shar'iish'ta holds its gatherings, be they discussions among the leaders from various circles or the once a decade Great Moot that includes the faithful from all across Tarien. During these great events druids use the rocks and surrounding trees like spectators use the grandstands at the Arenas of Carboth to witness the trials of those ready to advance within the order and listen to elders discuss policy that impacts the entire continent.

At other, quieter times, the shrine is simply one with the jungle. A traveler beneath the broad canopy of trees might encounter a snake or monkey or cat as they would anywhere else in Thallox. Indeed, the uninitiated have walked through the shrine on more than one occasion, unaware of where they trod, feeling only a sense of calm and wonder at the perfection of nature.
