Biology
Anatomy
Red gnaws are stocky, furry creatures of the gnaw family. They are slightly smaller than the herald's gnaw, sitting at about 95cm of height to the shoulders.
Their bodies are covered by thick orange-red fur with a white chest, feet and mouth, as well as distinctive black and white markings in the ears, eyes, tail and manes.
The manes of the red gnaw consist on a spiky row of hair on top of the neck, and two semi-circular pads of hair on the back, the one on the back showing a characteristic "W" pattern with a black line in the middle that continues down to the tail. The tail of this gnaw is much larger than that of the other gnaw species.
