History of the High Rust

Started in the year 3014 of the Alzufhar Era, the High Rust was the name of the event that started a social and physical cataclism of the Haan Archipelago, where most living beings and structures above a certain altitude over the ground suffered a condition similar to a metal's rust in their bodies, having them corrode and flake away.   To comprehend the gravity of the High Rust, it first requires understanding the main factors that impacted the two dominant species of the archipelago: the societarians and the tetsus.   The culture of the first considered a symbol of status living in places high above the ground such as towers and mountains, and for the second, mountains were their natural habitat. For these reasons, both species were deeply affected, especially for the societarians' social structures.   The High Rust spanned several months and its effects are still very fresh in the minds and bodies of the Archipelago's people, turning more and more upside down the whole political climate of the islands.
