Zooma's World
A remote and distant blue dot, Zooma's World has become a pilgrimage point for the followers of Seerism. The government here has cultivated their following, and takes council from the head Seers. It is part of the Musura Federation, who integrated the world several centuries ago. But the guilds hold no power here, and it is truly under the control of the Seers It is one of the galaxy's largest providers of the miracle drug known as Medi-Gel.
The world was initially colonized before the silence, and 98% of the population lives in the various sub-aquatic cities spread throughout the planet, hundreds of meters below the waves. The last 2% live on the floating star-harbors on the surface, where travelers first start their journey on Zooma's World.
The largest of these cities lies in a massive crater, spiraling down thousands of meters, with hundreds of thousands of residents. Despite all this, the population of Zooma's World is much smaller than than most within the federation, and is focused on the church.
Zooma
The name Zooma has a near mythical status amongst the denizens of the galaxy. Anthropilogical scholars have determined that Zooma was a prolific Zlathan explorer, who first discovered the world sometime before the Age of Silence. The Seerists state that Zooma was founded by their messiah figure known as the "Pilgrim ". After exploring for decades, gathering a following behind him, Zooma finally settled on the ocean covered planet. He built up a temple there, simple but elegant in its design, and spent the rest of his years as a fisherman. Most people who feel the call of the pilgrim will eventually try to make a journey to Zooma's World in respect. The Atomics
Zooma has maintained its independence because of one primary reason. The Holy Atomics of the Seers. Hidden deep beneath the surface of the planet, resistant to even the most capable orbital scanners, are hidden missile silos with a large amount of ground-to-orbit missiles. These missiles have been used to rebuke invaders in the past. Now, many are wary of trying to influence the planet, lest they risk losing their entire fleet in orbit. Because of their location deep underwater, they are also incredibly resistant to any form of ground invasion. Mounting a planetary invasion is already difficult. Add into that the complexities of a planet wide sub-surface invasion, all the while the supporting fleet is getting hit with thousands of nuclear warheads launched from millions of potentially hidden sites all over the planet, and you have a recipe for a military failure, no matter how strong the invading force.
