The Sniper's Watchtower

The Watchtower is the 2nd tallest building in Nexus (just behind The Great Lighthouse) and a well known landmark. It is a mighty needle-like tower of black marble, almost 500ft tall with a rune encompassed focusing lens at the very top. Small balconies jut out around the tower at various levels.
It is said that the tower was once used as a weapon in defense of the city, the legends claim that the lens could focus the cleansing light from the lighthouse into a beam of unparalleled magic power. Men have long forgotten how to harness and use those old magics and so the alleged weapon goes unused. 
It was gifted to The Snipers after they to refused to accept payment from the King for their services against the army of the Necromancer 40 years ago, it was decree that it would belong the Snipers in perpetuity and would henceforth be known as The Sniper's Watchtower.
