Steel Streets

The Steel Streets is by far the largest district in the city, before the war it was known as the "Military District". It's most notable features are the three massive forts that were built to protect the city from external threats, they now lie in disrepair, still heavily damaged from the Necromancer's War 40 years ago.   The first fort serves as an embassy for the Wardancer orcs, providing them with a secure location to live, conduct their affairs and interact with the other races of the city.   The second fort has been transformed into a prison, where the realm's most dangerous criminals are held. The fort is known for its harsh conditions and high security, making escape very difficult.   The third fort is a mercenary headquarters, where soldiers-for-hire come to find work and plan their next missions. The fort is a hub of activity, with mercenary soldiers coming and going at all hours of the day and night.   The Steel Streets have been heavily impacted by the war and the undead attacks that have plagued the city. The buildings are scarred with battle damage and some streets are still littered with large debris, giving the district a war-torn and battered appearance. Nevertheless, there are many residents of the Steel Streets, it is home to mostly middle class families.
