Wreck of the Morning Star

The wreck of the Morning Star was, and still is, the home of the Order of the Aster ; a devout sect of holy warriors sworn to serve the old God Lathander. In days past this flying ship was the fastest of the realm, it could travel the breadth of the Kingdom in a single day and would act as rapidly deploying strike force to reinforce and intervene in the many skirmishes with the undead.
During the The Great War, the Morning Star was instrumental in the victory of many battles and skirmishes. At the end of the last battle of the war, after being heavily damaged fighting back the Necromancer's forces during the invading assault on Nexus , it was the target of a most powerful dispelling dweomer that rent the magic of the vessel asunder sending it crashing to the streets below. There it now stands, some parts of the sturdy ship still intact and habitable.
The Knights of the Aster still call the wreck home, only now they have added the adjoining buildings to their base of operations. The faithful of Lathander come to pray at the wreck, they consider it a holy site. Veterans of the great war often come as well, to them it stands as a war memorial. It is one of the emblematic attractions in the city of Legends.
