Loom of Larai
This place is home to the various mage guilds of the Nominis Arcanum, this is where they meet to speak about things of magical importance to the realm, teach neophytes wizards the arcane arts, and co-ordinate their efforts in joint pursuits.
Its is also the convening place for the Council of the Arch-Magi, where decisions are made for the entirety of the guild.
Architecture
The Loom of Larai consists of eight distinct mage towers, one for every school of magic. Between these towers is woven a breathtakingly mesmerizing magical tapestry that represents the source of all magical energy of the plane and a real time depiction of its use or so the wizards claim. The weave created by the magical tendrils is ever changing in shape and hue.
History
These beautiful structures were constructed long ago by a powerful elf wizard named Archmage Larai, who was archmage of all the schools of magic. It is said that he erected these towers at the behest of the old goddess Mystra, to envelop the the whole world with its magical weave thus granting the gift of magic to the mortals of the realm.
