Cliffstead Thicket
This forest large sits in a valley between two sets of steep hills. The forest is not the safest place to travel, like any forest for those unfamiliar with the area, but not any more than others of a similar size. One thing this forest has going for it are the heavily worn trails that travelers have used in the past, making it far easier than most forests to stay moderately safe when traversing the creepy interior of this woodland.
The hills are home to very dangerous creatures, such as giants, ogres, trolls and much more. Beyond that, the hills themselves are steep to the point that it is extremely tiring and dangerous to simply travel through, let alone engage in battle. Most travelers in this region will go out of their way to travel through the forest over the hills, any day of the year.
