Renault's Bay
This is the oldest known city on the West Irolian continent at more than three hundred years old, established simply as a colony of the Empire of Tor. Set along the coast, this city was originally the capital of the Aldoran Sovereignty. It was moved inland due to risk of marine attacks, specifically due to the Seige of Renault's Bay in 2,461 PR (16,622 DR) by a collosal fleet of pirate ships.
Renault's Bay is the oldest city on the continent, and still the largest port. It has a castle, massive wall around the city and extensive underground. This city is a remnant of a bygone age, when cities were constructed in many different ways to confuse invaders and protect citizens. Due to this, the local criminal syndicate has a rather extensive headquarters below the city. Given the size of the city, it sees a fair amount of trouble and guards aren't always as swift to arrive as smaller settlements. Therefore, it is advised to protect yourself when traversing some of the less public locales.
