Bloodhammer

Established in 2239 PR (16400 DR), it is the third oldest large city on the continent. Home to the most valuable mine in the world, and aptly named for all of those lost mining and constructing this grandiose underground city, Bloodhammer is known world-wide as the place to procure the finest metals for whatever you fancy to craft. Their smiths are second-to-none, although prices are generally not favorable to those not fat of purse.   Located on the northeast side of the West Irolian continent, the population of this gigantic underground city is home to a wide variety of races, especially dwarves. The city growth did reach critical mass until 2254 PR (16415 DR), after seeing the success of cities under the Aldoran Sovereignty and Council of Szaly at surviving on their own. Originally a dwarven colony, it is run by a multi-race council that oversees commerce and defense. With limited access to the ocean, this nation relies heavily on trade with neighboring nations. What they lack in agriculture and luxuries, they far make up for in natural resources. Most notably, exotic metals. This is not necessarily a rich nation and life here is hard, but the citizens have relative safety and the constant work keeps food on the table.   When word of the New World's splendor reached the ears of various dwarven cities within Irolia and Torelyn, many packed up their belongings to make the life-altering trek across the world to start a new life. It was not something any dwarf would have wanted to do, but many saw the potential of this new and untamed land. With all of the strange occurrences and unique resources, many jumped on this opportunity immediately. In almost every case, the gamble paid off tenfold.   Ever since ancient times, the dwarven race lacked a nation of their own, living within mountains within the territory of others. With establishment of Bloodhammer, dwarves the world over have a place to go if ever they need to pack up and relocate. Though ruled by a multiracial council, the nation is still heavily dwarf-centric. Laws typically lean in favor of dwarven jobs and lifestyle.
