Escaped slave from the Nation of Thul village called Oxbow, Bean is twin brother to Twitch and one of the founders of The Grateful Six & She'edu. After the twins successful escape attempt from Oxbow, the two were separated for a period of time before reuniting at The Lonely Bard Inn in Bliss on the edge of Thul Nation territory. It was here she met Wee, Hobbes, Clyde and Fan.

Born at Oxbow alongside Twitch, the children of a convicted criminal, serving out a generational sentence, she was doomed to serve in the local iron mines with her brother. The pair had a close bond not often formed between slaves, and were known to be odd to their peers, soon becoming outcasts even among outcasts.
After years of hard labor and painful beatings, they had decided it was time to escape, because even punishment of death for getting caught was better than spending their lives in the labor camps. They mounted their escape and successfully got away, only to end up being pursued half way through their journey to Bliss, their markings as slaves giving them away to local authorities. In the ensuing chase they were split up, Bean slipping into a cavern hidden by large folds of grass, wet with morning dew.
Bliss was lost in the labyrinth beneath Thul, eventually managing to find her way out. After nearly two weeks of being lost underground and barely surviving, she emerged to an outcropping over looking Bliss from a nearby hillside and was soon reunited with her brother.
