Majan Pantheon
The Majan pantheon is an order of countless gods, goddesses, demigods, sprites, nymphs, and fae.
Structure
The gods are seperated into two main Houses. The House of Soj, contains the gods of air and spirit, while the House of Lakl contains the gods of earthly things. The House of Lakl plays a larger role in the story of humanity.
Mythology & Lore
Soj and Lakl, the origional dyad became seperated from each other. Soj lies above in the sky, while Lakl was the earth. Soj weeps for the parting, and his tears fall upon the earth as rain.
Tenets of Faith
There are very few organized principles, since all the gods represent different things, and have different ways. As such, there are no general rules save for a respect for the magical.
Worship
Different gods are called upon at different times. Sometimes, a spell may require the blessing of a god to work. One could ask a god or goddess for a message, which might appear in their dreams or in the shape of omens. Alters and offerings are ways to honor the gods.
Sects
The Order of Lakl, the preists of the temple dedicated to her, worship the earth goddess and govern many Mages.
The Daughters of Niss were a shadowy cult of female Mages dedicated to the worship of Niss. Niss is very protective of this group, and has granted them many magical powers.
The Temple of Evanore, located in the city of Estaire, are an order of preists dedicated to the goddess. The High preistess is a reincarnated embodiment of the goddess herself.
The Circle of Gwyde, is a coven of Druids.
The Brothers of Aimas. A group of male seers.
