Goddess Ria Of the Earthly Court (a.k.a. The Riverside Healer)
Ria is the goddess of witchcraft and the human spirit. She mortals how to make potions and spells. She is the daughter of Hira and Parrion.
Physical Description
Facial Features
Ria appears differently to different people, sometimes an old woman, a mother. she may often wear the form of a departed loved one, or the appearence of a memory or figure one finds comforting.
Identifying Characteristics
One feature that always remains the same, is her eyes, and how they appear to hold the light of the sun, moon and stars. And how there is always a scent of pine needles and sage about her. Her hands are always slightly warm, and where they touch, warmth is given.
Apparel & Accessories
Ria dresses often in simple clothes of wool or plant fibers. She wears black often and gray, but also green and lighter colors depending on the season. Her feat are bare, and painted with dark ink. In her hair, she wears a crown of seasional plants, and if in need, she may pluck one to use for her magic.
Specialized Equipment
She carries a staff of oak, and a small bag hangs from it, which carries all her magical tools.

Personal history
Ria was born to Hira and Parrion during the time of the Third River. She was loved by both her parents, and though she wanders the land like her father, she is never far from water, her mother's domain. She is as strong as treeroots, and as fluid as a rushing stream. She fell in love with one of the First Children, and stood with them in their rebellion against the gods, even though she didn't approve of it. When they were defeated, she taught their children how to find magic in the world, through plants and stones and stars. She never married or had children, and prefers to live in an old cottage at the bend of a river. The cottage appears to those who are lost and in need, and she will open her home to them. She asks only that they not abuse their welcome.

Besides her first love, Ria has never been known to have another lover, and has spurned all advances made by god or mortal.
Accomplishments & Achievements
She taught humans the skill of potionmaking, medicine, and healing. She gave them the ability to heal themselves from wounds and sickness, and taught them which plants were good, and which were sickly.
Morality & Philosophy
Ria is one of the most benevolent goddesses, and has a soft spot for humans. She will open her home to wanderers and those in need, and heal the sick. All she aks for in return is that humans continue to share the knowledge she has gifted them.

History
As a child, Idan was placed under Ria's care, and he grew up on earth. Ria taught him to weild his godly powers as well as human magic. Though Idan pays respect to his birth parents, he regards Ria as his true mother.
