Personal history

Lanvie is a loner among the gods. He loved the goddess of sunbeams, Evanore. For her, he stole fire from the sun, and was thus banished from the land of the gods, doomed to walk among mortals forever. He then manipulated Evanore into killing her husband. Before that, he had a breif affair with Alára, the wife of Aja, and had a daughter with her, Haiine, the goddess of winter. After this, Aja was waiting for any opportunity to punish him. Now, alone, Lanvie made the god of dreams fall in love with him, stealing a shroud of his robe and then fleeing.

Lanvie is most often portrayed as male, but has been known to take the form of females, or on-human creatures. As a shapeshifter, his gender simply depends on the present moment.

Sexuality

Lanvie has been with both men and women in the past.

Morality & Philosophy

Lanvie is not the most honerable of gods. He will only keep his word if he is compelled too, and his loyalty changes depending on who can offer him something. Often, he causes trouble simply for the fun of it. However, he knows mortals better than most gods, and is not always a villian.

Taboos

Lanvie detests prideful mortals, and delights in humbling them. When working with the god, always be humble and respectful. He also despises routine, prejeduce, and rigitity, preffering those who are fluid, open to new ideas, and possess an air of spontenaity.

Lanvie is most often motivated by selfishness, though he usually dislikes most forms of power and authority. He likes to have fun, and cause mischief, though he will not do something to the detrimete of himself.

Contacts & Relations

Lanvie had a breif infatuation with Evanore, where she promised to be his wife, but then married a mortal man. After that, he has had countless lovers, both divine and mortal.

Family Ties

In some records, Lanvie is the son of Maya and Hett, while in others he is the son of Evanore and Egontar. In this version, he never loved Evanore, and agreed to help her because she threatened him. Overall, Lanvie's parantage is confusing, and inconsistent. It is possible he had siblings, Amisa and Akam.

Lanvie is often in the company of a white fox, while in some stories, that is the form that he takes.
