Vrinn Island
Vrinn Island lies within the Azure Sea, south of the Numian Empire. The island spans about 300 km north to south and east to west. It used to be in control of the Zaphrian Dynasty, up until 20 years ago, when their slaves revolted. Now, the island is split between the Dynasty and the Goliath tribes, as well as the Numian Empire.
The Drow and Goliath, however, cannot claim to originate from Vrinn island. They themselves cam to the island only a few centuries ago. The original inhabitants of the island were the Lizardfolk and the Yuan-ti, who had been pushed back by the Drow when they arrived. With the recent uproar on the island, the Lizardfolk and Yuan-ti have grown bolder again.
In the year 211 EoL, the island was conquered by the Numian Empire and it was renamed Wolf Island to honor the role the Wolves of Summer played in the empire's victory.
Geography
Vrinn island is a tropical island. Every inch not claimed by civilization is filled with thick jungle fauna. There's a mountain ridge in the form of a crescent moon spanning the island. In the middle of the ridge lies a huge valey filled with various small lakes making up a thick marshland rather than a jungle forest. The rest of the island is presents very hilly terrain, which in combination with the jungle vegetation makes overland travel rather difficult. Millenia of erosion have rounded down the mountains and the hills of the island, offering the jungle an easier time to take over.
On the inside of the island lies the Gulf of Dreams, only connected to the Azure Sea through a very narrow passage on the west side. Therefore, the Gulf waters are rather calm, and offer ideal fishing territories.
There are a few additional smaller isles along the coast of Vrinn island. Two to the east, and two to the west, north and south.
Natural Resources
Vrinn island offers plenty of strong wood from its lush jungle flora and fauna, as well as a large variety of fruits. Within the mountains and hills, large desposits of gold, iron, and silver can be found.
