General Summary
Cenday, 12th Zenith 211 EoL
After the Lizardfolk attack was successfully fended off, it was time for some well-earned respite in the Requiessum of the army camp. The Feyaar's Fang mingled with the soldiers, some more successfully than others.
Tiny had more than one argument with the barkeep.
Lucky cheated a few soldiers out of their well-earned cash, while
De Mini threw some daggers around, before getting up to more shenanigans with her cousin Tomley, who is a soldier among the 47th Legion. Together they managed to convince the barkeep to offer the soldiers some of the "Best Beer in Town". Naturally, Tomley took all the credit, while doing none of the work.
The Primus Tribunus, Lorelai Songblade, also dropped by later to inform the group that circumstances changed. The Lagetum planned to strike back, and move the army into the jungle. The optional job of investigating the ancient structure became a requirement, something not everyone in the group was all too happy about.
Mellsday, 13th Zenith 211 EoL
Despite the group's reservations and some more shenanigans during the night, they set out in the early morning towards the tower. Thanks to Hotshot's expertise, the journey through the jungle remained uneventful. They managed to avoid most of the denizens of the jungle as well as further Lizardfolk patrols.
Cenday, 18th Zenith 211 EoL
The group arrived at the tower, but it was locked. It required a collection of runes to be placed in a specific order for the door to open. However, upon placing the first rune, undead Lizardfolk arose from the surrounding sand and attacked the group. Destroying them granted only a momentary reprieve, as they would rise up again. It was a race against time to get the door open. The group withstood the onslaught and upon placing the final rune, the undead returned to the sand and the doors to the tower opened.
