Session 1: The Arrival

Mellsday, 7th Zenith 211 EoL
The party started out on the last leg of their voyage from the empire to Vrinn Island. The sea was calm, and Captain Jacobs provided them with the rundown of the current situation on the island. Things quickly turned sour, however, when a huge black dragon attacked the Numian military vessel behind them. The dragon seemed to be looking for something, not finding it on the Numian vessel he turned his attention toward the party's ship. While the ship's captain and his crew did not manage to survive the dragons attack, the party used a ruse to escape the dragon's wrath. Cap offered up one of his magic items to the dragon. Content that dragon had what he was looking for, he disappeard back into the ocean. Due to this unforseen attack, the party had to make landfall quite a bit outside of the town of Adanum. A day's march through the jungle was ahead of them to reach their destination. On their trek through the jungle they came across the tracks of a group of Lizardfolk. Proceeding cautiously the party decided to rest up for the night. While, some took their guard duties more seriously than others, the party was ready when the Lizardfolk approached during the night. A vicious battle ensued. The party managed to gain the upper hand, however, leaving the Lizardfolk shaman no other recourse than to flee.Ansday, 8th Zenith 211 EoL
The next day, the party continued their journey and made it safely to the town of Adanum. After the recent events, a few questions remained. What was the dragon looking for? He shouted something about a key. Does it have anything to do with the mysterious wooden box, that Cap was tasked with delivering in the name of the empress? If the empress is to be believed, only very few people knew about the box, so how did the dragon know? What is actually inside the box that is so important?Character(s) interacted with
To get to the island the party travelled on a trading ship. Captain Jacobs, having travelled to Vrinn Island on multiple occasions, gave the party the rundown of the situation on the island.
