Physical Description
As a master swordswoman, Althea is in top physical condition. She practices almost daily and is well known for her fitness and skill with an arming sword or sidesword.

Queen Althea was born in
Nalkon to Sigrun var Valkra. They were employed by the royal house of Nalkon and trained to be spies and messengers. In her travels Althea met up with a group of adventurers who were investigating some odd happenings between the Kingdom of Valkra,
Ellenar, and
Dataova. During these adventures it turned out that the ones they were investigating were attempting to locate the last of a lost lineage from the old high king of Valkra, Moworphi von Dencon Draconis. The adventurers discovered the purpose of this was to eliminate the line, if any remained. This upset them enough that they wanted to know why and decided to interfere once they found out that it was possible that Althea was part of this line.
Eventually they did find out that she was the last descendant of the line of King Molworphi.
Through a long series of events, including a civil war, Althea became queen of Valkra, where she now rules.
Social
Primarily worships Atrathea, with acknowledgements and secondary prayers to Amares.

Relationship Reasoning
For Bràelti this was initially only for prestige and to gain a position of power. However, once he met Althea he actually fell in love with her (much to his own surprise), and highly values the relationship for this reason.
For Althea it was, at first, a matter of mere physical attraction - she had her doubts because of where Bràelti is from and his station, but after getting to really know him trusted him and felt great affection for him. She does love him, and that is her primary reason for the relationship, she also realises that as a queen she had to choose someone who brought more to the relationship, and his skills as a warrior and ship's captain are useful for her kingdom.
