Althea's Wedding Planning Report
General Summary
Domisi 36, afternoon
Shortly after arrival, Baron Ivan Thurisaz is petitioned by four of his landed knights for tax relief so that they can rebuild their castles. He grants the relief until the one year anniversary of the war ending.
Everyone decides that they are going to stay in Bear Keep for the next twenty days. Cyren decides to train, as does Ivan. Adaon and Catalina do some secret magic stuff to each other - and they have what appear to be tattoos on their wrists and necks thereafter. There are eleven Hallü people at bear keep wanting to join Clan Cave Bear. Talia Cavebear and Dathania Cavebear decide that they can stay the winter, after which they will decide if they can join permanently or not.
Kursi 6 - Kiera Ivansdottir turns 17

Adaon decides to set up something magical that will take four more days, so the rest of the group decides to do business and train. Part of it requires two concentric brass rings, which Ivan smiths for him.
As Kursi is the beginning of fall, Grizz is almost ready for hibernation and wants to find a place. Cyren takes him to the caverns under the keep. Althea has not yet chosen a consort, and it's down to Harold and Bràelti.
Kursi 15
Adaon of Datova on has an idea to search for the orb. So enlisting Catalina, Orlane, Sashira, and Alerik the Stunted to assist him. He is asking to use several extra-planar items to learn the feeling of the energies on them and use that knowledge to search for the orb.
Ivan and Kiera head to Valkra to talk to Queen Althea . Before leaving Ivan gives Kiera her belated birthday present, a traditional armband forged in galam and gold.
Cyren decides to go with them to Valkra. Ivan talks to Althea about choosing a consort. She is mixed and jokingly says, "Why can't I just have two?" Ivan and Cyren immediately say, "Why not?" And Cyren volunteers to do and see if they're cool about that. Ivan immediately slaps him and says, "What are you thinking?" "It's a joke!"
Ivan then approaches Sir Harold and presents the idea to him. At first Harold is confused, but through using Cyren as an example, and with several points of why it would be good for the crown he convinces Harold not to say "no" outright and leaves him thinking about it.
Then Ivan goes and talks to Bràelti and presents it to him. Bràelti is puzzled at first, but then shrugs and says, "I don't see what the big deal is." He agrees, so long as Harold is okay with it and it's not against imperial law.
They go and talk to Althea and she is happy, believing that both men are good with this, and asks Ivan to make arrangements for the wedding. Ivan shockingly says, No!" Then explains that they are considering it seriously, but haven't agreed, yet. She says that she will then go and talk to them, but first wants to get some training in with Cyren, and he is to meet her in the Fechtplatz (fighting ring). She leaves to get ready for training. Ivan delegates Kiera to find someone to find someone to organize the wedding, then goes off to make the wedding rings, which will be made from emerald and sapphire formed together with gold interwoven between, so that they are made of Althea's colours. This will take him 3 days per ring. Adaon of Datova spends the next few days searching Valkra for extra-planar portals and finds evidence of a couple within the caverns beneath the city.

Everyone meets in the City of Valkra. Ivan asks Adaon to use magic to make the rings hard so that they are as strong as galam. He succeeds! Now there are three unique, priceless Jarai made rings for Althea. These are likely to become heirlooms. Althea is extremely pleased!
With organizational challenges and the requirements of inviting neighbouring dignitaries, etc. the wedding date is set for Brilsi 10. Ivan gets really into designing themes for the wedding.
Adaon goes to the fortress where the necromancers were based to search for portals. In the meantime the others are to train for battle, just in case. They spend 6 days on this.
Kursi 30
Adaon finds a portal to Malquira (on the west coast of Lainshoa, north of the Great Rages) that comes out into an abandoned warehouse. The warehouse is completely dark, so Ivan casts his paladin light to see by. They step forward and four dark figures form a little way in front of them. Adaon uses his powers as a priest of Necros to banish the creatures, and to of them disappear. They battle two wraiths, Adaon almost getting knocked out when he reaches inside one to cast a spell that emulates the powers of a lich, However, because of the strong nature of the wraith he is shocked and faints briefly, but takes no damage. They keep fighting, Finally, after much struggles, Cyren hits one with enough damage using his magical sword to banish it. However, it also hits him, taking 5 of his willpower. (This will heal at the same rate as normal wounds.) Ivan smacks the other one with his blessed hammer a couple of times and it disappears.
They continue to search the warehouse, eventually finding a hidden inter-dimensional box under the floor. Inside the box they find an ornate, complex key that also vibrates with magic. They play with this a while to figure out exactly how it works. Ivan keeps a hold of the box for safekeeping.
Afterwards they head outside to find a place to stay. The find an inn called "The Busty Barmaid". They head inside and Adaon speaks to the patron who, sure enough, is a busty barmaid. She speaks poor Lainshoan and only understands him if he speaks slowly. They book a room. There is a little confusion over the currency, and she accepts 3 blun for the night and they share a room.
