The Seynan Islands contains only a handful of larger towns and no cities. Most of its population live in smaller towns and villages scattered across the island group.
The population of Anar Frar was decimated by storm floods in the
17th century, and the island was eventually repopulated by
Keeva migrating from
Gilrimmon.
Dorash Ro is a small town on a flat island between
Seynin Harn and
Seyn Tayl.
The town is known for its storytellers, but its most striking feature is the ruins of an ancient temple to
Treca, the goddess of storms, which lies on the western edge of the island. The temple, partially submerged, is believed to be a place of powerful magic, attracting scholars and adventurers alike. However, it is also a site of danger, as those who venture too close during a storm are often lost to the sea.
Hakush is a small island town north of
Seynin Fant. The town is famous for its sea caves, which can only be accessed at low tide.
Meryn Talsis is a tiny town on a flat island off
Sar Ferrat. The town is known for its decorative seashell crafts.
Pelsa is a tiny town in a group of islands north of
Seyn Truna. Perched dramatically atop cliffs, the town is known for its expert climbers. However, Pelsa is now under threat from a monstrous creature that has made its lair in the hidden caves below. The creature, which is said to be a giant sea serpent, emerges during storms to wreak havoc, causing many of the town’s residents to flee in fear.
Just off the eastern coast of the island stand the
Gates of Pelsa, a stunning rock formation of sea stacks and arches.
Sar Amaldan is a small town on a flat, grassy island at the northern edge of
the Shallows.
The easternmost island in the chain, Sar Ferrat is notable for its majority
Kazlaa population.
Seyn Estol is the most southerly, and most isolated, of the island towns.
Seyn Borsam is a small town on a tall, rocky island near
Seynin Harn.
The towering cliffs at the northern edge of the island are thronged with seabirds, and the town’s inhabitants gather eggs and feathers to sell.
Seyn Dehar lies north of
Seynin Fant. The island is a producer of dried fish.
The town is also home to the famous healer Shalla the Wise. People come from all over the islands seeking her advice and remedies. Her presence has turned the town into a hub for those seeking cures for ailments, and has also attracted scholars interested in learning her secrets.
Seyn Estol is known for its sea birds, and the people of the island gather the feathers to create down mattresses.
The town honors its legendary healer with Barinn's Day, where free healing clinics are offered, and a grand procession carries Barinn Baru’s statue through the streets. The festival ends with a ceremony at his tomb, where the town’s elders offer thanks for his life’s work.
The largest town in the islands, Seyn Ferra faces out across the
Shallows in the east of the archipelago. The town is known for its decorative woollen blankets.
Seyn Tayl is famed for its scrimshaw. The island is one of the
Pearl Islands, known for the pearls found in the surrounding waters.
The most westerly of the islands' large towns, Seyn Truna is known for its
Mead.
Seyn Yona lies at the westerly edge of the archipelago, and is one of the
Pearl Islands, famed for its pearl jewellery.
Seynin Fant is a large town at the center of the island chain.
The town is home to the ancient and mysterious Fantin Monolith. The monolith, carved with strange runes, is believed to be a relic from a past civilisation, and has attracted scholars and adventurers seeking to unlock its secrets.
Seynin Farlas is a small town on an island east of
Seyn Truna. The town is known for the turtles that nest on its beaches each year.
Like nearby Seyn Yona, Seynin Harn is one of the
Pearl Islands, known for the pearls found in the surrounding waters.
This small island town in
Shallows is known for its production of green ink, and for its whalebone crafts.
Seynin Serron is a small town on an island at the eastern edge of
the Shallows. The town, known for its devout worship of Treca, has been struck by a mysterious and deadly disease. The illness, which some believe is a curse from the gods, has decimated the population, and the surviving townsfolk are living in fear of what might come next. The once-thriving town now feels like a ghost town.
