Local geography

Seyn Truna, the most westerly of the Seynan Islands, is nestled within a serene bay on the northern shore. Known for its famed Mead, the town draws visitors and locals alike who seek to savor this sweet beverage crafted from local honey and wildflowers. The island’s landscape is a captivating mix of rolling hills in the middle and southern regions, interspersed with patches of forest, particularly in the northeast. The western shore is characterized by rocky outcrops that rise dramatically from the sea, providing a stunning backdrop for the lively fishing boats that dot the waters.   The coastal waters surrounding Seyn Truna are rich in marine life, where schools of fish such as the swift Dolki and the agile Melmakkir flourish. Fishermen often cast their nets for the delectable Bellim-Ban, a red, long-nosed fish that is a local delicacy. The waters are also home to larger creatures like the formidable Krethgorr, whose presence poses a constant reminder of the sea's untamed nature. Playful seals can often be seen diving beneath the waves, while the elusive Giant Octopus lurks in the rocky crevices, showcasing its remarkable ability to adapt and camouflage.   Seabirds are a lively presence along the shores, with Gulls scavenging near the docks, and the hardy Stormhunter soaring above the tumultuous waves, skilled in hunting fish even in the harshest of weather. The majestic Ulmathren nests on the cliffs, its large wingspan a breathtaking sight as it glides effortlessly over the waters, embodying the spirit of the ocean.   The community of Seyn Truna thrives on its connection to the sea and the land, where the traditions of mead-making and fishing intertwine with the island’s rich cultural heritage.
