The Dytika Isle region

The western region of Halruaal is a lush and beautiful grassland known as the Dytika Isles. It is the home of mystery, knowledge, and wonder.

The plains of this region host to a number of graceful fauna and exotic flora. Fantastic creatures such as dinosaurs, Pegasus, and hippogriffs roam the countryside in harmony along with the local population. The nature of this region promotes relaxation, growth, and contemplation of the subtlest of life's many mysteries. Racial inequities are existent, as is most issues among class and education. Although the biggest mystery perhaps of all of Halruaal is consummated by the existence of the near 50 mile wide whirlpool cutting off sea travel to the northeast of the region. Few can rationalize or explain the existence of "the Maw" as it is known, but none can deny the disruption to the sea and air directly below and above it.

House Romanos are first and foremost sages and oracles of the divine on the mystical islands. Through divination they have foreseen the many conflicts and issues that could arises and have advocated peace and reconciliation. Almost all of their prophecies have come to pass without fail. As such, the land is plentiful and carefully tended to - as if a mockery of the innovative and exploitative manner seen in the North and East.

Of all the regions, The Dytika Isles share the strongest connection to the Church of the Seven, but with an added twist. Here men are forbidden from holding a place of power. Every member of the Magisterium, the Church, or Senate, is a female, with men serving as guardians and protectors. Similar to those in House Kamose, House Romanos holds a different rank and title system; however, this is in conjunction with the rank structure of the other six Houses. The Archons of House Romanos are also known as the Oracles, tying themselves directly to the goddesses Shinatobe and Initiumartis.
