God of Knowledge, Lord of Many Faces, the God of the Single Shroud Emesh Kozaja (a.k.a. The Illuminated)
When the first moon is gibbous and the smaller moon is black, Emesh is made regent of the world.
Despite being one of the most contacted, Emesh is one of the least known of the Lunar Pantheon. Rather than trying to build a religion or build connections to followers, Emesh chooses to appear as an existing religious figure from the mortal's region when contacted. Imitating the aesthetics and philosophical position of the figure they appear as, Emesh rarely imposes his ideology on those mortals he interacts with. Instead, he reinforces and validates the existing religious worldview of the places he contacts regardless of their alignment with his own beliefs.
To a select few, Emesh appears as his true self. Only those few who share his vision for the world are given this privilege.

Emesh is known as the God of Knowledge, Exploration, Travel, Shapeshifting, Commerce, Memory, and the Dead. He is associated with Kilusha/Meatstone, citrus, and glass.

Personal history
Emesh was born in Samvara, in the underground Kima City of Khobaht, then-center of the Holy State of Pritinam. His parents were clerks in charge of architecture and local urban planning, and Emesh was given a robust education in numbers and civics. Emesh was a young rebel with little desire to live as his parents did and he often ventured out to interact with other castes and foreign travelers.
Curious about the experiences of others, he used his writing eduation and supplies to write a culinary guide for Prisms, Dryads, and Humans comparing the sensations of "taste" (which are wildly different) rather than actually do his job. After repeated censures, he was punished repeatedly. He was finally exiled, and fled to the Dryad free land nearby- which adopted him as a mercantile liaison.
While useful in this position, some of the locals there realized he was pretty disruptive- and would perhaps be better as an agent to undermine his city of origin than a merchant. As he became more well-known and well-liked, he was tossed around like a hot potato- he asked too many questions and was just too disobedient to really embrace him, but he seemingly didn't know what he was doing. He was a nuisance, but a popular one.
So, his original city offered him a chance to do something really good- to be a cartographer. A chance to do real good for everyone! And so he began his 150 year old career as an explorer. Venturing along land and sea, Emesh explored Eastward until he reached the great Eastern ocean. Unsatisfied with that and intrigued by tales of cannibal demon people told by traders from the East, he prepared a grand expedition to sail Eastward.
He made it to Desmia, near the city of Nekiton , in -620DE. Initially curious, Emesh and the local warriors began to decode each other's languages. Tragically, Emesh gladly declared himself a representative of Halcyon- recognized by Desmians as the source of cosmic evil. In autumn of -620, Emesh was taken into Nekiton city and executed publicly. The Masked One cursed any weapon in Nekiton to shatter if used, and possessed Emesh's corpse to warn the people there against attacking Prism-kind. Emesh's spirit was then taken to heaven and made into one of the Lunar Pantheon by Halcyon.
