The Kingdom of Raelon
The Kingdom of Raelon is the most populated and largest nation on Gromlin. A nation, predominately human, stands as the central power of the realms. The Kingdom is in a dangerous time, the old king lies debilitated with corrupt sons fighting for power, corrupt officials, a constant fear, and growing paranoia of neighboring nations. Raelon has a complicated history. Every major conflict (with only a few exceptions) Raelon has been involved.
Culture
Raelon is a society that is surprisingly forward thinking. The nobility invest in art and science. Every citizen, no mater the race, is officially welcomed, though not always overtly as is the case for Plutorians. While nobility is seen as above by simple fact they have money and education, they are not seen as devinely choosen.
They value military honor and tradition. Much of the lower and Merchant class have strong ties to the military, many having served in some capacity.
They tend to enjoy a variety of forms of entertainment but lean to more bombastic festivals and games.
Family tends to be very important the Raelonic homes. Sometimes several generations living under one roof. It is actually law that the son is not suppose to go against the father’s wishes. (Although it is not enforced) The father would even have dominion of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Triumphs are a special type of parade made for high ranking officials (Usually military). It is almost religious act.

History
During the years of colonization the Humans were one of the last races to arrive and founded the Kingdom of Raelon. Much of the earliest history has been lost. It has a long standing animosity with Plutoria. Many times the Raelonic army has tried to take various territories from the Empire, but to little avail.
Demography and Population
The Kingdom of Raelon has diverse population, but is still dominated by humans and other humaniod races. It is currently estimated that Raelon has a population of roughly one million. The vast majority is human or humanoid. There is a substantial population of halflings and "half breeds' as they are more accepted here. With some exceptions coming out of Plutoria, most races are accepted and considered equal, though mistrust for Plutorians is still rampant.
Territories
Covering roughly a third of all Gromlin. They have roughly divided the country into three provinces, with each having their own cultural differences and lifestyles.
Eastern Raelon was the largest territory. Consisting of temperate, arid and coastal regions. The culture here is more conservative, focusing on hard work, defense, and faith. This province was prodominatly used for farming but shared a bored with the Empire of Plutoria.
Western Raelon was a very diverse provence, both in population and lifestlye. In general consider some what hedonistic and more open minded. They share a border with Leagalla and Phoviel.
Central Raelon is bt far the smallest. It is the region that sits along the Nectar River. It is the seat of politcal power, and industry. The captial city of Domus and the royal family reside here.
Military
The army is a solid fighting force and has one of the largest in of all the nations. Officers come from noble families that pass the training and schools. The heavy infantry is supposedly the best in all of Gromlin.
Technological Level
While there is little to seperate them from other nations in terms of technological development, they have invested and traded in scientific progress. Rumors are they have begun to trade with distant nations again, importing some of their advancements.
Religion
Raelon is a diverse group of people, as are their beliefs. It is easy to find a worshiper of every deity in Raelon. However there are a few deities that are worshipped with a more widespread faith.

Laws
The general level of law is high across the kingdom. However examples of corruption have been found on every level of society. Punishments are harsh if you actually are arrested. Every village is usually left to the Barons to be govern in both laws and punishment with few exceptions. One major exception, the death penalty is only for the highest crimes. However to ensure their prisons do not become over populated, they along with several other ally nation have begun to ship their criminals to Pultoria

Agriculture & Industry
Raelon is prodominatly and agriculturaly inclined nation. Even nicknamed the breadbasket of all of Gromlin. Eastern Raelon focuses on food production and defense. Western Raelon focuses on timber and trade. While Central Raelon will be the heart of power, though also fishing, industry, and refining materials.
Trade & Transport
Dominating much of the continent, the Kingdom of Raelon has natural trade routes and access to many of the other Nations. With the many of the largest cities sitting on the Nectar River, trade is abundant. Raelon will trade with every nation, even their bitter rivals in Plutoria.
Their most prominant trade partners are Leagalla, Selwen and Mirathis.
Rumors have begun to spread that Raelon has made conatact with one of the older continents again and has begun to trade with them. If this is so, it is a dangerous trade route to say the least given the distance and treacherous seas.
Education
While the working class, the pesantry and the like; have little to no education, to think there is none would be a mistake. The lower classes mostly learn farming and survival skills, taught on a loose community level. When you get to large town and cities, you will fine more regualted school systems, teaching basic maths and trade skills, helping to enlarge the merchant class. Eduaction of the ruling class is another thing entirely. Most nobility have private tutors or even send them to the schools of Leagalla or Selwen
Infrastructure
While most of the infrastructe is centered around the cities, the roads of raelon are well maintained. Knightly Orders from Eagle's Mount patrols and protect the borders and routes in Eastern Raelon, while the little forces that are kept as a standing army patrol the west. Courts, and hospitals are built in the larger cities and the various barons and counts ensure to send doctors and magistrates to the smaller communities. There is even a well maintained sewage system in the largest cities like Domus and Holmfirth.
Political Influence & Intrigue
Raelon has a deep connection to faith, especially among the working classes. Many communities will have temples to at least one temple to a particular god if not more. This connection has lead to many nobles to manipulate the working class using faith, though this has backfired many times as well. This deep connection has also led to many suppersitions about the neighboring Plutorian Empire.

Major Exports
Given the nick name of the bread basket, it is easy to guess what their main export is. Their biggest trader her would be their close ally, Selwen. They transport shiploads of produces and food stuffs to other nations daily.

Some of the most important imports for the Kingdom, are minerals such as iron ore and others to make refined metals. Some would also imply that an import would be education given how many of the ruling class get their education from nations such as Leagalla and Selwen.
