Here, wealth is often earned rather than inherited, and its residents—ennobled heroes, successful prospectors, renowned artisans, and retired adventurers—are a testament to ambition and achievement. Their estates may lack the sheer opulence of their High Quarter counterparts, but what they lack in grandeur, they make up for in vitality. Many in the Garden Quarter embrace fresh ideas and bold enterprises, though their appreciation for merit does not always translate into genuine respect for those of lower status.

Spanning a picturesque stretch between the High Quarter’s boundaries, the district is a lush expanse of elegant manors, serene ponds, sculpted topiaries, and vibrant private gardens. The air here is thick with the scent of blooming flowers, making it one of the most fragrant and visually stunning quarters of the city. Lovers and poets alike favor its shaded walkways for stolen moments of romance, though such encounters rarely go unwatched.

Visitors from beyond the Nobles’ Gate are tolerated, but never fully trusted. The City Watch patrols diligently, supported by hired private guards tasked with ensuring that only those of proper standing linger too long. Trouble is met with a swift response—within moments, the Watch arrives to restore order, and the district’s well-manicured tranquility remains undisturbed.
