Sister Yosefine Starfall

Sister Yosefine Starfall

Early Life
Yosefine was born in 428KS to a poor family of farmhands in a hamlet near Swadlincote. At a young age she was brought to the church in Swadlincote, where her potential was noted. She spent several years training there under Mather Rowan Steelguard alongside other hopeful students, and in 438KS was Initiated into The Order of White Knights and sent to serve Sister Katriana Whitewind.
Yosefine joined her fellow Initiate Joachin, and they were joined a year later by Daria. For two years they travelled The Kingdom of Irogonie as Sister Katriana moved where the Order commanded, seeking out the needy to serve.

The Irogonie Aggression
With the outbreak of what would become known as The Irogonie Aggression in 440KS, Sister Katriana was ordered to travel to Thurnon to reinforce the city against the forces of The Kingdom of Somercrag. Yosefine was present in the city when Prince Lur Lighthelm passed through en route to The Battle of Starfield.

Serving House Foxworth
Following the defeat of the Irogonian armies at Starfield and the ceding of the land that would become The Foxworth Duchy, Sister Katriana answered a request from Lady Ophelia Foxworth-Hayford in the summer of 441KS for Dualist advice on The Black Cities in her new lands and the Shades that had been harassing her people, and so Yosefine travelled with her to Faircastle.
Sister Katriana and her Initiates remained in Lady Ophelia's service for a year, until the birth of Brienna and Tyon Foxworth in March 442KS, which caused Katriana to abandon the Foxworths. However, some months later at the The Battle of Southmarket, Lady Ophelia was captured and replaced with a Doppelganger and many of her closest advisors either died or became Driven by the Darkness, which Katriana blamed herself for.
Once the doppelganger had been revealed Sister Katriana and her Initiates accompanied her husband ser Newall Foxworth, as well as two other knights, ser Odric Vortane and ser Astris Conklyn, in journeying to Irogonie to attempt to recover Lady Ophelia.
In a farm outside Thurnon Initiate Yosefine was the first of Sister Katriana's Initiates to demonstrate a significant grasp of The Light, assisting Sister Katriana in putting down a powerful Shade and cleansing its corruption from the farmstead. Later she witnessed ser Odric Vortane's spontaneous manifestation of The Light, and gathered a token from the Whitestone he created. Later she witnessed the loss of Katriana's powers in a burial crypt below the grounds of Hamkastle.
When Katriana and Newall's party reached Greenpeak and confronted The King, Yosefine and the other Initiates were reassigned to penitent duties to ensure whatever corruption had cost her the connection to The Light would not be spread through them.
Rather than completing her training within a decade, as is the norm, Initate Yosefine's training continued through the year 448KS without acknowledgement. She remained in Dawnrise, performing duties that ranged from penitent to menial. She had no contact with the other Initiates from her years in Katriana's service, nor with any fully fledged knights except when they issued her new duties.

Knighthood
One morning in March of 454KS, without warning, she was summoned before Lord Hierarch Abron Lightgrove. He knighted her himself and informed her of House Foxworth of Fairstrand's declaration of war against the Kingdom. He gave her the name Starfall, explaining that the previous night he had witnessed the Star called The King's Eye fall to earth, and had been moved by it to give her an opportunity to redeem herself.
Sister Yosefine was dispatched from Dawnrise as part of a force of almost one-hundred White Knights to lift the siege of Thurnon, however by the time they arrived the Foxworths had already failed an assault on the city and been captured by Mother Brunhilde.
When Terms of the Truce Between The Kingdom of Irogonie and the Foxworth Duchy 454KS were settled, and amongst them the requirement that the Foxworths allow a White Knight to take up a position in their lands to represent the Dualist faith, Sister Yosefine put herself forward for the position, citing her understanding of the Duchy from her time there.
In June of 454KS, Sister Yosefine once again crossed the The Redford River and entered the Foxworth Duchy.
