Hofólans

The hofólans1 are one of the seven tribe of Tederans that make up the Ptivamanaktem Alliance in central Karatvánamb Forest in southeastern Túlmikkía. Their territory covers the southeastern part of Ptivamanaktem, namely the mangrove swamp around the mouth of the Útimte River and the land between it and Lám Bay to the northwest, centered around the city of Dárp by the Túróon Sea.
Hofólans were a major tederan power along the coast before joining the alliance and close allies of the Tvúmans to the north, providing them with supplies and -more importantly- the aid of their famed warrioresses in exchange for protection from rival Vevúni tribes from beyond the Hík Mountains. This relationship has since expanded to all the other tribes of the alliance, with the warrioresses choosing one amongst their ranks to be personal bodyguard of the chief in Hatvál, capital of Ptivamanaktem.
Like the tvúmans, hofólans make shell-beads in large quantities, used to adorn clothes, masks, weapons and arms and various other things as well as a form of currency.
Their extensive orchards around Dárp are a major source of paw-paw and other fruits, while mayhaws are gathered out in the swamp.
